11 Lows

Bustin' out my 11 Lows since the Breds are coming out this weekend.

To be honest, I sort of regret getting this pair coz I don't use it often. I feel that 11 Lows only look good with shorts and since I have to be in dress code 5/7 days of the week, they don't really see the light of day. They kinda make my feet look big too and I don't need any of that coz I'm already a size 7.5 Mens. Hahaha.

I really wanted them at the time coz I missed out on the Concords. I've learned my lesson though. I'm a Js girl, but not all styles are going to work for me.

I know tons of people are pretty excited for the Bred Lows, so good luck to everyone copping a pair!

White Out

So sorry for not updating for over a month! I spent the first half of April in NYC + San Antonio, and when I got back home I had to catch up with everything I missed at work. Then there's also the Clips sending my Spurs home in the first round of the playoffs which was truly heartbreaking...

Anyway, I also took the time to move my blog out of Tumblr. So if you look around, the website's got a new look and feel. I love how it's really simple and straight-forward. It'll take a while to get my past posts migrated on here, but so far so good. I'm real excited to get things going again and maybe post more than just the outfits + kicks.

When I left for the US, I had a mission: buy all white. It's been a goal of mine to have a couple of pairs that were completely white. Just clean and simple. The Air Force 1 Low and Mid came out at Titan, but they didn’t come in my size so I had to get both abroad. Needless to say, mission accomplished thanks to Footlocker. I even got my hands on a pair of white/grey adidas Pure Boost for only $54.

Now that I have my white pairs, they make up majority of my summer kicks rotation - Air Max 90s, Air Force 1 Low, Air Force 1 Mid, adidas Pure Boost, adidas Superstar, Air Jordan 11 Retro Legend Blue - so expect to see more lifestyle pairs rather than my usual Js. I'll see how long I can stay on this white phase, but it's definitely gonna be tiring having to Jason Markk them all the time though!

I was supposed to post this last week, but I was caught up with all the love at the wedding of one of my dearest friends, Donna. It was such a beautiful wedding that I’m not as sad as I should be for missing out on the One Direction concert. Truth be told, I wouldn’t have been able to go anyway since I didn’t have a ticket. Hahaha.

One of my best friends, Jo, gave me this shirt for Christmas and it’s definitely one of best gifts I’ve ever received. I tried to channel Liam (coz I’m so in love with him, pls go away if you are too, he’s mine) with the plaid polo and figured Carmines would be great with the entire outfit.

I remember singing a long like crazy with Renzo in the booth whenever we’d play a 1D song on the radio. Hopefully I’ll get another shot at watching them live. Preferably when they’re complete with Zayn. I also think it might be more fun to watch them perform in a different country tho - like while on vacation.

I’m off to the NYC + San Antonio next week, so I might be a bit Instagram-happy. I’m still figuring out what shoes to take with me, but rest assured I’m coming back home with more pairs. Hahaha. Fingers crossed I get to meet Manu Ginobili when I watch GSW@SAS live!!!

Huarache

Took inspiration from Adrianne Ho’s Huarache Mami post since she also has a pair of Triple Black Huaraches.

The shape of the shoe is different, so at first glance you’d find something off about them. I found it pretty difficult to pair. It’d go perfect with a pair of jogger pants and a cropped top, but I’m not entirely sure that jogger pants would look good on me so it’ll have to go with outfits that make me look that I’m headed to the gym. It works though since my style does make me look like I’m about to work out. Hahaha. You can also already feel the heat of summer so I’ll be running around in Nike Pros and tanks most of the time.

Missed the mark with the sizing for this pair. Should’ve listened to the reviews on Footlocker that said to go a half or full size up. I thought it’d be the same as my Huarache Bold Berry, so I got my usual size, but when I tried them on, my toes had no room to move around at all. They’ll feel alright for an hour or two, but I won’t deny that after that, it’ll feel so good to have them off.

Black + Red

Saying goodbye to my sweaters and long sleeved tops coz summer’s around the corner! I probably have 1-2 weeks left before I stuff them into the back of my closet, but I’m tossing some into my suitcase coz I’M GOING TO THE US!!!

Been pretty busy the past 2 weeks fixing my itinerary. It’s still a month away, but I can’t wait to leave already. If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I’m going on this trip to fulfil a life long dream - to watch Manu Ginobili and the Spurs play live!
