Lalalalove the rainy season coz I get to layer!

I got this jacket from Factorie along with a bunch of other stuff that I couldn’t let go of at the check out counter. That store has easily become one of my favourites and they just opened up their BHS branch which is great coz I can just walk to it. It's not so good news for my wallet tho. Hahaha.

I've worn almost all my Beetroot favourites and this ‘Crushing Me’ bralette I am in love with coz you can wear it under any top - see thru, plunging, even a worn out tank - and it’ll make it look sexy!

The only thing I hate this weather is that I have to be more careful with what shoes I wear out. I gravitate towards my predominantly black pairs as well as my beaters, so these Triple Black Huaraches will definitely get some time out in the rain. Wet kicks make me sad, so don't forget to waterproof your shoes (I use Sof Sole Waterproofer!) and wipe them dry!

Pure Boost

Wore this outfit to the #THEBAXTEREXPERIENCE launch we had at Titan Fort early last month. It totally slipped my mind to take a photo of the back and I'm beating myself up about it coz the jumpsuit's backless and pretty cool!

When the adidas Pure Boost came out, I did a whole lot of research on them. I watched a bunch of unboxing/ on feet videos, and I was convinced that I needed a pair.

So when I went into a Footlocker in San Antonio and found this pair on the shelf (at almost 50% off), it was a no-brainer. Everything I learned about it in the videos were true. The shoe is incredibly light, it's like you're not wearing shoes at all. You can even get away with not wearing socks. The boost tech is something I'm fond of and the upper hugs your foot which is why it's so light and comfy. The only setback is that the boost is white (no matter what colorway you get), so after a few wears you're going to have to wipe the midsole down to keep it looking good. I saw a couple of people who've neglected their pairs and you can see that half of the boost on their pairs were already yellow.

Would definitely get another pair if I came across one that's black or grey, but now that word's out that the Yeezy Boost will be releasing in Manila, I might want to save all my money for that even if I know it'll be impossible for me to get a pair. Hahaha

Bomber

Crazy in love with this bomber jacket I got while I was in NYC! I spent almost 2 hours at Nike and I know that Alba wanted to kill me for taking too long to go through the entire store. Hahaha! I just couldn't leave without going through every floor (there were 5-6 floors).

Anyway, this jacket won me over coz of 3 things:

It's not too thick that I couldn't wear it when I got back home in Manila.
I'm a sucker for black and white.
IT'S REVERSIBLE! Abstract print on one side, plain black on the other.

I've got on another Beetroot bralette which I feel is very 'me' since it's the most sporty looking one that they have. It's a racerback with the arm holes cut low making it different from a sports bra. With everything together, I feel like I'm channeling Sophia Chang - especially with the bun.

Wishing we had a Jason Markk store here coz these White Cement 4s need a whole lot of TLC. The netting on the sides are starting to yellow and I've pretty much done all that I can to prevent it from discoloring any further. I'm so close to giving up, but if anyone has any tips on how I can restore them, let me know!

Superstar

Apart from building an all white rotation, I also wanted to invest in a couple of lifestyle pairs. If it was white and lifestyle, I'm sold!

A pair of Superstars was always on my list of shoes to buy, but I never had any luck finding the white with black stripes in my size. I gave up the search for it here, decided to order it from Footlocker and I've worn it every week since I got it. It's the type of pair that you know will go with anything. It's become one of my go-to shoes and it's incredibly handy when I'm in a rush and I don't have time to rummage through or think of other pairs to wear. Thinking of getting the white out version too...

Shoes aside, the very little money I have left makes its way to Beetroot. I know I've already posted the bralette I have on a bunch of times, but that's just shows how much I'm in love with it. At first I thought bralettes wouldn't look good on me since I'm not gifted up there. It turned out to be the opposite and they're incredibly flattering. I ended up getting a bunch and now I'm in a bit of a rush to wear them all while it's still summer, but then again when the rainy season comes around, they'll look great over sheer or low cut tops + a jacket.

Things that come to mind when I think about Air Force 1s:

"I said give me two pairs coz I need two pairs, so I can get to stomping in my Air Force Ones" - Nelly
Fukijamas. Turtle. Entourage.

I didn't like Air Force 1s at first. My first pair was this white + light khaki, black sole that my Dad got from Hong Kong when I was still in high school. They didn't come in my size so he got them a half size bigger. I didn't enjoy wearing it at all since they fell off my feet, so they ended up becoming beaters for the rainy season.

I was a bit hesitant getting this pair of lows because of that experience. I was sure of the mids tho coz the strap was something I really liked, but I guess I gave the lows another chance since I'm a sucker for all white + this time around they're in the correct size. They still make my feet look big so I'm never ever wearing them with jeans, but they do make me feel like I can roll with Turtle.
